As with many children of my generation who did not have access to art museums, my first experience with art was through books. Before I could read, I loved the paintings of Rembrandt in those books. Thus began my love of the art of the portrait. My respect for the work of Rembrandt remains to this day, as well as, my love for doing portraiture.
